Pairing your metal to your bathroom can be a little overwhelming. Not only are you trying to work out what colours go best with your chosen metal, you have to take into account the lighting you are working with. Weather that be natural lighting or artificial, warm lighting or cool lighting. It’s a lot to consider.
To give you a helping hand, we have put together some go-to colours depending on what metal you have chosen.
Brushed Brass
With brass, or brushed brass you can’t go wrong with a warm neutral, beige and browns. Should you wish to make more of a statement warm green and brass also work well together.
Neutral Suggestions: Beige and browns
Farrow and Ball: Skimming Stone
Coat Paint: Cargo
Coat Paint: Duvet Day
Statement Suggestions: Warm Greens
Dulux: Overtly Olive
Matt Black
Matt black is somewhat easy to match. The only thing to consider is ensuring that the room doesn’t feel too cold. A greige (a mix of beige and grey) works perfectly. Not too warm that the matt black looks out of place but not too cool that your bathroom feels like a cold room. Should you wish to make a little bit more of a statement any cooler deep colour works when done correctly, maybe in smaller rooms or area like a cloakroom/feature wall.
Neutral Suggestions: Greige or off green grey
Farrow & Ball: Strong White
Coat Paint: Darlington
Statement Suggestions: Any cooler deeper colour
Lick: Grey 08
Chrome
Chrome is by far still the most used bathroom metal around the world. It is a colour the usually comes as standard with many vanities, showers and other sanitaryware. With that being said there are certain go to colours I would suggest work the best and really complement chrome fixtures and fixings.
